LOCAL LGBT ORGANIZATIONS

Center on Halsted – Chicago’s LGBT Community Center. This organization is very trans friendly, offering many trans programs.

Drugwatch – Drugwatch works with medical and legal experts as well as patients and advocates to provide accurate, trustworthy and current information about prescription drug side effects, medical device complications and related lawsuits. Our team members have several years of medical and legal research experience and are passionate about advocating for people injured by the negligence of corporations. Through Drugwatch, consumers can get the information they need to make informed health care decisions, share their drug and device stories, and connect with an experienced national law firm.

Equality Illinois –  Mission: to secure, protect and defend equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Illinois. 

Howard Brown Health Center – Promoting the well-being and transgender persons through the provision of health care and wellness programs in the Chicago area. 

Illinois Safe Schools Alliance –  Recognizing the importance of inclusive policies within educational entities and human rights agencies, the Alliance staff, Board and volunteers work with key partners on policy and advocacy initiatives with schools, school districts and government agencies at local, regional and state levels.
